Intense and joyful days of co-working, co-coding, and co-living: daily stand-ups, spontaneous workshops, deep-dive sessions, demos, and peer feedback. And of course culture, great food, bike rides along the Danube, hikes through the vineyards, and plenty of fun in between.
Week 1: 22 – 30 August
Håck ma's
Kick off the retreat and settle in. This week connects to Håck ma's, an Austrian hacker and chaos community gathering that blends hackathon, barcamp, camping trip, and festival vibes in a medieval castle setting.
Sleep in your comfortable room at the Rössl and hop on the daily shuttle to Håck ma's and back. The Matrix Community is announced to Håck ma's as a group; you only need to arrange your own Håck ma's ticket separately at hack-mas.at/tickets.
Week 2: 31 August – 6 September
Public Sector
A focused week with public sector professionals working with Matrix in government and public administration.
This week is already very booked, but in the ticket shop you find Public Sector week: waiting list. We can surely find a way to accomodate you, especially if you are staying more than this week.
Week 3: 7 – 13 September
Matrix and beyond
Matrix meets the wider ecosystem, where we connect with neighbouring open source projects like Home Assistant and beyond.

Group discount: coming as a group of four for week 1 or 3? Each of you gets 100 € off a week ticket. Request it for free in the ticket shop via "Request a group voucher", and we'll email each member a code.
Week 2 (Public Sector) is already sold out. You can still register your interest with your preferred dates on the waiting list in the ticket shop, and we'll get in touch if a place opens up.
